Frustration is the compost from which the mushrooms of creativity grow.

I'm still in the process of redoing my studio. Not only have I not unpacked my art from our trip to Florida, but then I decided I just didn't think my work surface area was deep enough. I had been using a painted door. Well, my IKEA work surface arrived the other day, along with a cabinet I had ordered from the same place. To fit everything into my tiny studio, it meant moving some of my remaining work surface about 8 inches. To do this, everything had to be taken off the top and drawers removed...
which just added to more chaos and insanity around me...
Then last fall, just before leaving for Florida, my lights that I had ordered for my room came in. Because we were leaving, I was advised to wait until we returned in the spring to put them in. Because my studio is such a mess, I decided we should just keep on going and get these lights up!
I'm really hoping this will be it, other than covering my work chair. The sad part is by the time this is finished and organized, we'll be moving out to the cottage for the summer. All I can say is thank you to Mr. Cottage for putting up with this insanity of mine. I know in the end it will be perfect!

Hey! That's a crazy mess! Looks like my studio. lol
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how nice it is to know I'm not the only one, although yours is from moving it around, mine is from piggyness!
