Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

The other day I had a blog posting about Tag, I'm It. In it I was asked the question what one food could I eat for the rest of my life. Well, that was a no brainer for me...CHOCOLATE!!! ANYTHING THAT'S CHOCOLATE!! I'm almost embarrassed to mention this, but years ago Mr. Cottage would buy me a LARGE Hershey candy bar and I could devour it in one sitting...for real!! The best part was I never gained any weight from eating any of it. I've always been skinny, skinny, skinny...UNTIL the past 8-10 years. Then something happened and now I just look at food, or chocolate in particular, and the calories attack me like fleas on a dog!
So the other day when I was out and about with my friend, we ended up at Morton's Gourmet Market...
If you're ever in the Sarasota area, you simply MUST stop in and see this wonderful market. We decided to have our lunch here, but I had to buy a piece of their wonderful chocolate flourless cake, one for me and one for Mr. Cottage...
I first discovered this store a few years back and I bought a piece of this cake for Mr. Cottage's birthday. It was beyond yummy. Now I have a tradition of not going back home without a piece of this wonderful cake. Doesn't it look yummy??? That's because it was!!

That looks delicious. Will have to look for a recipe for something along those lines.
ReplyDeleteI myself am a recovering chocoholic and for the same reasons. I was a skinny kid and developed terrible eating habits. They didn't catch up to me until I was in my 30s, and it's been a battle ever since. I finally had to admit that me and chocolate were going to have to part ways. I fall off the wagon every once in awhile, but I try to do it with just a few bites, then get back on.
