Forty-four Years Ago Today

It was 44 years ago today that Mr. Cottage and I married.  Where has the time gone...

 

 

Geez, we look like young kids in these photos.  Maybe that's because we were!  Forty-four years later we now have three sons, three wonderful daughter-in-laws, and three outstanding grandchildren.  Oh, and five granddogs!

 

Son #1 is driving in with his family all the way from Virginia.  And they're bringing two of our granddogs along with them.  Mr. Cottage and I really don't have anything special planned other than our usual of going out to dinner.  No cooking for me today!

 

I have to be honest and say that no marriage is perfect and we have had our ups and downs over the years, but when you're married to your best friend; hopefully resolutions can be found for any conflicts along the way...

 

 

I did tell Mr. Cottage that we should do something special for next year, our 45th.  Maybe a weekend to Mackinac Island and stay at the Grand Hotel (from the movie Somewhere in Time), or maybe a weekend in Chicago or I would even be happy going back to one of our favorite camping places, Pentwater, Michigan.  They do have B&B's in town!
