Back To The Living

A sad soul can kill you quicker than a germ.
                                       ~John Steinbeck

YIKES, I HATE BEING SICK!  But the good news is I'm slowly making my way back to the living again.  I have no idea what this was.  I had a flu shot before coming to Florida, but it could have been a different strain.  Then again, I didn't really have the aches and chills that I normally have with the flu.  I had horrible sinus pressure and drainage and felt really miserable; but I'm going to leave this right where it is because I don't want to talk about it any longer.  I'm moving forward and I'm going to take in each day as it comes now, because we're heading back to Michigan in just two weeks.  I've been mentally scratching off items on my "must see" list before we leave.  There's just no time to fit everything in.  Next week, Mr. Cottage and I will have to have a great date day to make up for this poopy week I've had.

And speaking of returning to the living, I have to share with you a real page turner of a book I recently finished reading.  I got this book at a really good price for my Kindle HD but it also came with excellent reviews.  Trust me when I say that I'm not into zombie movies, books, etc., but this is so well written and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.  If you want to just read for the pleasure of reading and have some thrill and excitement thrown in, then you need to read Apocalypse Z by Manel Loureiro

One great thing about today is I had a hair appointment that I had made weeks ago.  Any gal knows how great looking hair can make you feel.  I had the girl take a photo of the back today just to show you what she did...

She calls it a moon shape.  Isn't it neat!  By the time I walked out of the salon today and returned back home, I didn't even look like I had been sick...

Here's to our last two great weeks in Florida.  May they be better than this last one!

  1. So glad you are feeling better. I am into Zombies, even at aged 59, I still dig Zombie movies and books. Thanks for the recommendation.
