A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.

Mr. Cottage and I had another date day today. This year, for whatever reason, it seemed like we just weren't going out of the RV park and doing as much as we had in the past years. Mr. Cottage has been busy playing pickleball, and playing his guitar. I've been very busy with my art. So with this season coming to an end, a number of weeks ago I suggested to Mr. Cottage that we needed to set aside one day a week where he and I can go out and just have a nice time. So today we took a nice drive up to Anna Marie Island. The day couldn't have been more perfect. While it was quite hot back in Sarasota, the island was absolutely gorgeous with a wonderful sea breeze.
We went to the city fishing pier, but we stopped and had ice cream before walking across the street to the pier...
The bird you see on top of the building is a real bird!
The water is so clean you can watch the fish swimming below...
There were a number of fishermen up, down and around on the pier. Here we were watching one fellow cast a large net into the water...
and he immediately brought it back up with lots of fish in it...
The Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa can be seen very clearly from Anna Marie Island...
What else can I say, the flags along the street on Anna Marie Island says it all...
Once we returned back to Sarasota, reality set back in and I was busy painting my watercolors again. I hope to show you my birds tomorrow. Stay tuned!
