Teacher for a day

If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it.

I've been taking a class at our RV resort simply called, Sharing Watercolor Techniques.  We don't have any one teacher in particular as we all take turns to share something with the class.  Someone in the class found out about the Artist Trading Cards that I've done and they wanted me to teach them about this.  Now these cards are only 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches.  Another words, VERY TINY!!  So I thought I would also show them how to use ink along with their watercolor paintings to help spread out the time a bit.  Many of the people in this class have never heard of ATC's before.  So I've printed out a handout, along with a website, for them to get more information on it.   I told them ahead of time what to bring to class...

I've printed off a design for them to follow and I'll demonstrate the techniques on a slightly larger piece of watercolor paper.  I've inked some of the leaves to save a bit of time...

This is the picture I'm using.  After they ink in their design on their paper, I'm going to have them choose another picture for them to paint.  The ink has to dry thoroughly before they being to use their watercolor paints on it.  I brought along a lot of other ideas for them to use...

This is the 2.5 x 3.5 that I hurriedly painted this morning.  There is no way to make things exact because of the size difference.  It will be fun to see how everyone paints theirs.
