If you want to be happy, be.
~Leo Tolstoy
The Friday evening before I left CREATE, there was a fantastic artist/vendor fair which Cindy, my roommate, and I attended. It was like turning the kid inside of me loose into a candy store full of artsy items. Yummy! Seeing as I've never won the lottery or have an endless pocketbook, I had to carefully justify some of my purchases. That meant not buying the gorgeous handmade metal covered journal for $200. Instead I found some luscious handmade papers which where 20% savings from Art Supply Warehouse...
A DVD using watercolors for mixed media with the wonderful, Jane LaFazio...
And speaking of Jane LaFazio, I hope Cindy doesn't mind me showing what she bought from Jane. There's a plastic protective cover over it so it doesn't show all the tiny beads and adornments that have been handsewn on to the tiny strips of fabric. Isn't this lovely...
I kept telling Cindy that if this disappears she'll have to come to Michigan to retrieve it. What a great catch, Cindy!!
I returned home with lots of memories and great times. My first time eating at a vegan restaurant with my cousins...
Look what else I saw...
Beautiful hills, scenery and the Pacific Ocean...
My cousin made a wonderful Hungarian dinner...
Next thing I knew I was at the airport and on my way home...
What a wonderful time at CREATE and seeing my relatives. Can't wait until the next time, whenever and wherever that will be.
