Dragonfly and more

Deep in the sun-searched growths the dragonfly
Hangs like a blue thread loosened from the sky.

Ahh, the Dragonfly...

a big bug that everyone seems to love.  Well, I finally finished what I teased you with back on August 22.  This is what I showed you then...

and my finished canvas.  Aren't the wings neat!  No, they aren't foil or cellophane...

This was taught by Kelly Hoernig.  If you think you might want to try these, check out her site for more information on her 5 days, 5 canvases, 5 colors.

I just wanted to give you a recap of all my canvases that I made through her e-course...

Pear with bees...

Violet with butterflies...

Fish...

Bees...

Large Butterfly...

Because I was in her very first e-course, she gave all of us a bonus canvas and that was the dragonfly.  I love everyone of them!  Which is your favorite?

  4. Hello Carol, These are all so lovely, I think that the bees are my favorite, but truly it is hard to pick a favorite.
Thank you for the lovely comment on my chair re-do. I purchased my transfer paper at Wal-Mart in the fabric department. You must reverse any clip art with lettering (your finished project will come out a mirror image of what you print on the transfer paper). When you have what you want on the screen, put the paper into your printer. My printer is an ink jet, so I have to be careful when I purchase the paper that it says for ink jet prints. There are some transfer papers made for laser printer, too. Then all you need is a hot dry iron (no steam). There are so many possibilities to the things that you can create. Have fun, Connie :)
