Buy a pup and your money will buy love unflinching.

I told you I would have a surprise for everyone on Friday, and you know what? Today is Friday! We have a new puppy in our family...
She's a German Shorthaired Pointer and her name is Brooklyn...
Oh, and one more thing...she's our 6th granddog!
Our oldest son, who is visiting us from Texas, brought her along. She is just so dang cute. We all took her to the dog beach at Lake Michigan the other day where I took some of these photos of her. She was in awe of the waves crashing to shore...
He asked if we could watch Brooklyn for two days while he, his wife and our two grandkids went to Cedar Point and then to Detroit to watch the Tigers play...
How could we say NO! Before I got into blogging, we had Porsche, who was a German Shorthaired Pointer; who thought she was part human. She was seriously one of the best dogs ever...
Now if you're familiar with puppies, they are totally not trustworthy; nor are they potty trained. Mr. Cottage use to say that all babies should be born 2 years old and housebroken. So needless to say, we decided we would take her to our cottage for these two days...
We keep a large selection of toys and she discovered the old tennis ball. That's her playing with it in the above photos. She literally had a "ball" with the ball...
In between all her playing, she's been taking countless naps, either on the couch or she jumps up on the day bed...
Other than Miss Molly, Mr. Cottage and I can't get enough of her or her puppy breath. Brooklyn is just a tad hyper for Miss Molly.
Really, isn't she cute...as in so DANG CUTE!
My Daddy had a German Shorthair. She was the best dog ever. Have fun with Brooklyn -- she's a doll.
