Blogtoberfest, day 5 - I have a plan

In less than two months, Mr. Cottage and I (and of course, Molly), will be in Florida.  We all know that time keeps marching on regardless of what we do or do not accomplish in the same time period that everyone else has.  So before I know it, it's going to be November 30 and we'll be on our way to Florida.

Two months might sound like a lot of time, but so much has to be done before then.  So I've drawn up a plan in my head and now it's out to all of you...

• Thoroughly clean at least one room in our house every week.  Keep in mind that we just moved back home from the cottage just a few weeks ago.  The house hasn't had a thorough cleaning since last spring before we moved to the cottage and we will have house sitters moving in and living in our house while we're away.

• Start baking now for Christmas while I have the time.  We all love certain baked goods for the holiday and this way I'll have them made ahead of time and just put them into the freezer.

• Start gathering up and make sure all my Florida clothes are cleaned, mended and ready to pack when the time comes.

• And the same goes for all my art supplies I want to take.  Either I'll begin a list and/or start putting some away in our plastic tubs that we take with us.

We know that even the best of plans can go awry.  But at least a plan is better than no plan.  I'll keep you posted on how well it's going or not going.
