"The early bird catches the worm"
~An English Proverb
Well, I just had to let you know that sometimes it really pays to wake up at 4:15 AM to be one of the first ones in line. Actually, make that number 2 in line. Nothing like driving, in what felt like the middle of the night, to a location in the country when you can't hardly see where you're going; especially after I turned onto the driveway that was pitch black and curved and wound it's way to the house. As I got closer, I could see just one other vehicle that was parked off to the side via my headlights. I found out that "he" was number one and that meant I was number 2. Slowly more vehicles made their way and at 7 AM we signed in like good little boys and girls. I killed the time by reading a book in my Kindle Fire and checking things on my phone. Then off I went for my coffee and came back to walk around and take a few photos of this spectacular piece of property, which by the way, had a FOR SALE sign in the yard, stating it came with 18 acres...
Here's the back of the property. Sorry, but I didn't get any photos of their large built-in swimming pool or all the other arbors, trellises and pergola that were scattered around...
The ad stated that there was over 12,000 sq. ft., including the pole barn, which I walked around and peeked in the windows prior to the sale...
When 9 AM rolled around, I was number 2 and I immediately went to the dining room. I had looked online and determined by the wallpaper and carpeting that this is where the cabinet would be. There were two of them, one in each corner. But the one shown below is the one that I purchased because the handle worked well, compared to the other one. And I couldn't believe the price! What a bargain!
The back of the cabinet had real beadboard. I can't wait to see it in our condo...
I continued walking through this massive and gorgeous house to see everything else. There were two separate staircases that led from the third floor all the way to the lowest level; and there were two separate laundry rooms. The place went on and one. But look what I found on the lowest level...
It's a harvest table that was so beautiful and again I couldn't believe what a bargain price it was. This photo doesn't show it, but there are 2 leaves that will fit into each end of the table. I wanted a dining table our family could all sit at, but at the same time I didn't want it too wide because it will be in part of the living room...
This photo doesn't do it justice, but the patina and smoothness feels wonderful. It's actually a richer shade than what's shown...
This is the first time I've ever been to an estate sale put on by Repurpose Estate Sales of Grand Rapids, which is affiliated with Repurpose Estate Services in Westland, MI and is owned by Cari from the HGTV show Cash and Cari. Great deals and great prices. I'll be going to more of their sales.

Wow, Carol!! You hit the jackpot. Love your finds.
