Michigan, My Home, Blogtoberfest Day 18

Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.
~Hans Christian Andersen

The other day I shared with you some photos of Northern Michigan and the upper peninsula of Michigan.  Now I'm going to share some photos from other parts of this great state, beginning with the city where I live, Grand Rapids...

Meijer Botanical Gardens, located in Grand Rapids...

The quaint and artsy town of Saugatuck...

Detroit...

Holland, MI...

After seeing all this, you've just got to come and check out Michigan.  I'm sure many have never been here before and when I talk to people who come for the first time, they're amazed at the beauty.  What's also surprising is how many people honestly think you can see across Lake Michigan.  Trust me, it's like looking into the ocean, but no tides, saltwater, and sharks!
