Why I'm Grateful In The Midst Of Chaos, Blogtoberfest day 10, Thankful Thursday

Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

                                                                      ~William Morris

I know I haven't shown photos of our new house because I've been waiting to show you before and after photos, but I am going to give you a sneak peek of my new art studio...

Yes, my work table is a disaster, but believe it or not, I am making progress.  I'm starting to get some things put away and I've got my screens up (minus the fabric I'll be adding to them)...

Even Miss Molly appreciates having room on the floor now, compared to how it's been for weeks on end...

The rest of our new house is actually looking like it's becoming more of OUR home and this is the last area that is to be completed.  You should have seen the photos when we first started to unpack...

If you've never noticed, I have a heading listed above on my blog entitled "Gratitude".  Although I haven't updated it in awhile, I truly am grateful for much in my life.  Some of my thanks is for:

  1. Mr. Cottage
  2. Our children, who are all adults now
  3. Our three grandchildren
  4. Living in a free democracy, even though our government is closed down right now
  5. Having good health
  6. Having financial security
  7. Being able to see and hear
  8. My abundance of great friends
  9. My faith in God and the power of prayer
  10. My ability to read and enjoy good books, when much of the world is unable to do so

Just curious...What are you most grateful for right this moment?

  1. I am also grateful for the things you listed above, I'd like to add: to live in the age where we have the ability to connect with friends over the miles, at a touch of a button, almost immediately.
