Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.

Wow, time sure flies when you're busy! I knew I wasn't going to have time for many blog postings while trying to get ready for these two shows, but I didn't realize it was going to be this long a wait. With the first of two shows only a week away, Mr. Cottage and I made time to go to Grand Haven last evening. It was their annual Night Lights where all the stores stay open from 5-8 pm. Many had discounts on their products, and others were giving away homemade cookies and other edible goodies. They also had roasted chestnuts and we walked away with a glass mug after drinking our yummy hot chocolate the town provided for everyone. Here's Mr. Cottage with Corbin...
On our way to the main street...
Corbin's mother, Erin, took this photo. I love it...
Many of the stores had enticements to get you to come in...
A group of Carolers...
As it got darker, the lights finally came on. It really gets you in the mood...
We ended the evening at Porto Bello's. Usually Corbin is really good, but somewhere during dinner, he started fussing a bit and homeward bound we all went.
But I do have to share the story of the turkey. As we were in line for the hot chocolate, Mr. Cottage noticed this turkey in a store window. Next thing I knew he disappeared into the store. Erin and I decided that he was tired of waiting in the line and went in to kill some time...
Little did I think he would actually buy it, but he really did. It's now sitting on top of our china hutch, but the crazy part about all this is that Mr. Cottage dislikes shopping!
I have so much more to share with everyone, so I promise I will be doing more posting this coming week. They may be on the shorter side because of all I have to do for the show yet, but better something rather than nothing!

That turkey must have really tickled your Mr.'s fancy! Looks like a fun day!
