“Art is when you hear a knocking from your soul — and you answer.”
~Terri Guillemets
Remember the song, Tossin' and Turnin' All Night? Well, that was me the other night. All I could think about were the two art shows I'm going to be in in just a few weeks and everything that I still need to do. As soon as I woke up, I started making a list of everything I need to do yet before the first show. Between the moving, contractors and everything else that we've been doing to make this house our new home, I really haven't spent much time getting ready for either of these shows. I finally went out and bought some fabric and paint for my lattices and screen door...
Isn't this screen door great! I found it this summer and decided the stained wood did nothing for it, so I decided to paint it a bright vintage green. I still have to sew the fabric that's going onto the display, as well as making some less expensive items to sell at the shows. This is what I'm currently working on...
I've got lots to do yet, so I probably won't be writing my blog posts as often as I would like. So please bear with me, it's only for a few more weeks; and I'll try me best in sharing what I'm working on, as well as some of the work that's been done on our house.
