Oh, The Weather Outside Is Frightful

Just our luck, the first winter we have stayed in Michigan for over 8 years and we're having the worst December in over 30 years!  Last evening it started raining, as in freezing rain!  And as I write this, it's still raining and is suppose to do so for most of this evening...

The reflection you might notice on our walkway, street and the driveway across the street is all ICE!  Mr. Cottage won't let me take Molly out today because of my knee.  So he's been the brave one and I found out he took a fall (fortunately landing without breaking anything). 

I spent the day by finishing up all my wrapping and making Hungarian Nut rolls.  I shared the recipe and techniques for this last year and if you click here and also here, you'll find Part 1 and Part 2 of this yummy recipe.

Mr. Cottage made a huge batch of his great chili for us today.  Sorry, this is a secret family recipe and I can't share with you; but it sure is good!

I think I might have mentioned briefly about my right knee bothering me.  I received a series of three injections which worked great for about 4 months.  You can only get these every 6 months.  When I went in, for another series of injections, a few weeks ago; based on what I was telling the Dr. he decided I should have an MRI instead.  At the time, I wasn't able to get back in to see the Dr. until Dec. 30.  But after calling and asking about the results, they're able to get me in the morning of Dec. 24, Christmas Eve day.  I'll find out more then and will be sure to let you know.
