Order is never observed; it is disorder that attracts attention because it is awkward and intrusive.

I think I finally put the finishing touches on our kitchen command center. Mr. Cottage always rolls his eyes when he hears that, but it's our one place where I set everything up to keep us somewhat organized. A number of years ago, I discovered Hatley while in the Canadian Exhibit at WDW. They have a wonderful selection of pj's, rain gear, and items for the house. The day after Christmas is when Canada celebrates boxing day and usually has great sales. So when we returned from WDW that year, I ended up ordering lots of notepads to give as gifts for the following year. This is one of the ones that I kept for myself...
It's currently hanging on the side of our refrigerator, right next to our finished command center...
I showed a sneak peak of it a few weeks back. In case you missed it, you can view it here. Notice anything different about the chalkboard...
Yes, that's a handle for a cupboard turned upside down to hold the chalk. I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was such a clever idea. I bought this one from Hobby Lobby...
Because we don't have room for a file cabinet on our main floor, I found this wire file hanger online. I already had the file folders...
And I created files for things I use on a regular basis, MENUS for our take out menus, RECEIPTS for anything recently purchased, which might have to be returned or tracking information from USPS, CLIPPINGS I find in the paper or magazines, COUPONS for stores or restaurants, COMPUTER for our laptop we keep in our kitchen, and a MISC...
I know I showed this before, but this is part of our command center...
I love this tray I found at Hobby Lobby...
And this reminder to enjoy each day - which I bought years ago from a Hallmark store...
Tomorrow is a very special day...our youngest grandson, Corbin, will be 4 years old. Everyone is coming here for cake and presents tomorrow evening, so I'll share some photos next time.
