The Color Of Blue

Surprisingly, Mr. Cottage asked me a short time after we moved into our cottage about painting the inside of our exterior doors in our entryway.  We had already had the one wall in our living room painted a dark blue and so I thought we would paint these doors blue...

 

 

 

This was the entryway when we first bought our condo...

 

I didn't like the oak, but Mr. Cottage did.  We sort of compromised...I would paint all the oak trim white, but we would leave the stairway and the built-in cabinets on the lower level and not paint those...

So this is was our entry after painting the trim white...

Looking rather blah...

And now they're blue, bold and looking great (the walls are a soft off white, not the yellow that you see in the photo below)...

Everything is slowly coming together...

All we need are new door handles for the exterior doors and they'll be finished.
