Where I create at the cottage is on this fantastic table that I picked up for only $25. The antique store was going out of business and most everything was picked over. How could I go wrong, and the enamel top is perfect as an art table...
This is where it's located in the cottage...
It's in the extra large area where we keep our daybed. You never know what I've got on top of it that I'm working on...
I love the peeling paint...
I think Mr. Cottage was hoping I would repaint it, but it isn't about to happen...
Right above this table, Mr. Cottage has his collection of wood carved ducks he purchased from an artist, over a period of time...
And you do remember the daybed that Miss Molly loves...
Above the daybed is a collection of fishing items and a singing fish that Mr. Cottage received as a gift from one of our kids...
Remember the iron cookware that's hanging in the kitchen...
This dresser was actually mine as I was growing up. I've been wanting to paint the sides and drawers, but leave the top as is. But before I get to this, I have other furniture that needs painting back at our house...
I mentioned that we don't have much wall space, but we did find room for a few pieces of art we bought in Florida...
The one below came from Key West and we had the artist add Sarasota and Lincoln Lake...
Just a bit of whimsy...
So how are you enjoying the tour so far? I have a couple more rooms and a few extra surprises.
Love getting a glimpse into where you create - looks great :)
ReplyDelete(Miss Molly looks like she's wonderful company too!)
Kristin, Miss Molly is definitely a daddy and mommy's little girl. Follows us everywhere. My creation station is the only place for me to paint at our cottage. It works just great for me. Thank you for your comment!
DeleteI love your tour Carol! And I really love your art table!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda! That table was an unexpected find that I'm not letting go of!
