It looks like fall, it feels like fall, it must be fall...well, almost! I can't believe our weather today, but then again, this is Michigan. It was a great day to stay inside and get a pedicure, which I did. But then I drove up to the cottage in this...
1. In addition to having good wipers and brakes, above all
else, don't drive too fast. You don't want to end up
hydroplaning with your car, not a good thing to do.
2. If your headlights don't automatically turn on when you
start your car, make sure you have them turned on. It's
much easier for other cars to see you.
3. Our oldest son was stationed in Florida, many years ago,
and it was through him we first heard about RainX. It's
fabulous. Water will just bead up on your window and in
some cases you won't even need to use your wipers...
4. Wear sunglasses! Not just any kind, but polarized
sunglasses. I wore mine all day today with the clouds and
rain, and believe it or not, you can actually see better to
drive in the rain. This was a tip Mr. Cottage and I
received a few years ago and it really works. Even
Snopes.com says that sunglasses really work. Keep them
in your car and the next time you're caught in rain, put
them on and try for yourself. But remember, polarized
sunglasses.

I've heard of Rain-X Carol, but never tried it. These are really good safety wise tips. Thankyou for sharing at Five Star Frugal at A Tray of Bliss....love, Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteThat stuff makes a huge difference! We use it and when it wears off I hate the way the windows are! Thanks for joining Home Sweet Home!
