May Flower Challenge - Day 14, A very fragrant bouquet

A mom's hug lasts long after she lets go.

I just have to share my special day with everyone!  I had a fabulous Mother's Day which was very relaxing.  I received this beautiful bouquet of white stargazer lilies, roses, and carnations from our youngest son, along with a phone call from him...

Seriously, the fragrance is wonderful and filled up the entire family room with their scent.  I even put them into the refrigerator last night to try to try and preserve them for as long as I can.  Of course, they're back out into the family room for me to enjoy for today.

Our eldest son was traveling and wasn't even home for his own family, but he did call.  And our middle son came over with his wife, Lori, and they brought our granddog, Hoover, along for the ride.  The day actually started with me opening up a few gifts from Molly.  Of course, Mr. Cottage had a big part in making this happen.  Altogether, I received three different gift cards (which I love to receive!!).  But I have to show you one of the gifts I received from Molly...

Actually, I was thrilled to finally get my own needle-nose pliers, after years of borrowing Mr. Cottage's!

We don't usually go out to eat and fight the crowds on Mother's Day.  Instead, Mr. Cottage usually grills dinner for us, but I actually put in a different request for the day.  So we had Chinese carry-out, which I love.  YUMMY!!
