May Flower Challenge - Day 19, Toads

If God had wanted us to be concerned for the plight of the toads, he would have made them cute and furry.

My flower today is the pink begonia.  A few years ago I found this lovely wire basket and have since always had my pink begonias in them...

I love the pink flowers with their bronze leaves...

Mr. Cottage has been spending most of this morning planting some flowers around the cottage.  He came in to get me and told me to come out with the camera...

Did you see something in the photo?  Look again, if you didn't...

Mr. Toad is blending in so well with our wood chips you can hardly see him...

I'm right where I want to be...at our cottage with Mr. Cottage and Molly. As the sun was setting last night, over the lake, I commented to Mr. Cottage how much I really do love it here. The sounds are so different from what we hear at home. I woke to the sounds of honking from the geese this morning.

Have a great weekend and make sure to check out Lori's blog to see more of the May Flower Challenge photos.

  1. I've always loved begonias, the little flowers but also because the leaves are so different. Toads living in your are said to bring good luck.
