May Flower Challenge - Day 22, Yummy Finds

Searching is half the fun; life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

Wow, I just returned from another estate sale.  I really don't go to that many, only the ones that sound good and this one did.  I've been looking for a few volumes of an encyclopedia set, and I found an entire set for $25.  Mr. Cottage wasn't too pleased, wondering where we're going with everything.  Actually, I'm hoping to go through and pick out a few I want to keep and hopefully I'll be able to sell the rest.  Hmmm, anyone need one for their artwork?...

These are almost next to impossible to find anymore because everyone is using the internet to get all their information.  I also found a couple of large dictionaries and a few children's books.  I loved the borders on all of the pages...

Isn't this neat...

Look how old this one book was...

Mr. Cottage took one look at this scale and thought I had really lost it.  I mean, who would want anything as beat up as this?   ME, that's who...

And I couldn't resist this file.  I know it's only out of cardboard and the fabric is pretty beat up on it, but won't it look pretty once I recover it in either wallpaper or fabric!...

I also found another old suitcase for only $10 which is great for storing my art in and it helps form the table for my lamp.  Sorry Mr. Cottage, but living with me can have lots of surprises along the way.  There's always a method behind my madness!

I don't want to forget about my flower for today, which is the beautiful geranium.  Usually we see them in red, but isn't this coral beautiful...

Remember to check out Lori's blog for other beautiful flowers to see for the May Flower Challenge.  Can you believe that May is almost over?
