Flowers whisper "Beauty!" to the world, even as they fade, wilt, fall.

As many of you know I'm participating in my friend's, Lori Moon, blog for a May Flower Challenge. So for today I'm choosing Bugleweed. No, it's not really a weed. Actually, it's a wonderful groundcover and is also known by the name Ajuga Plant...
We have an area in front of our house that gets lots of shade. For years, Mr. Cottage and I planted inpatients here, but then after seeing them come and go and having to replace them each year, we finally wised up and started planting a few Ajuga plants. The thing about Ajuga (Bugleweed), is how they will spread, which was fine with us because we have a large area. It's taken awhile, but they're doing what we wanted them to do and in early spring they show their wonderful purple flowers. Eventually, because they are a perennial, they will cover the ground with just their green leaves...
Speaking of flowers, I finally finished sewing my floral slipcover for the chair in my studio...
I'm really happy on how it turned out. I'll be having a tutorial on making this really easy cover at the end of this month. So make sure to come back and take a peek to see how it's done.

That's a pretty groundcover, but it's a REALLY pretty slipcover! I'm always so in awe of anyone who can sew this type of stuff. Visiting from Lori's
