What a fantastic and unforgettable time I had at Create Mixed Media Retreat! My arrival began with me actually meeting one of my Fly-Tribe members, Cindy Jones-Lantier, who also was my roommate at the retreat...
Cindy was such a delight to room with and such a sweetheart! Cindy is also the owner/author of Mixed Media May, which you simply must check out if you haven't already. Even though May is over, you can still go back and see all the daily interviews she hosted with various mixed media artists, including yours truly. Now that Mixed Media May is over, Cindy is having a special giveaway of lots of wonderful art. All you have to do is click on the link I've provided and then click where it says to to get on her Linky . You'll answer the questions she is asking you, which are the same questions she asked all of us artists. Just click here to get to her special page to enter. Time is running out and you have only a few more days to enter this wonderful giveaway.

She prompted us with various themes, music, and other forms of inspirations. As we worked on our doodles, she worked on hers...

She also handed out a copy of a young couple from the 1950's in bathing suits and to draw any kind of a scene we wanted to show them in...
I didn't have enough time to finish this in class, but you can see they're in Times Square on New Years Eve. I have snowflakes on one side and confetti falling on the other. He's asking her to marry him and she says that she's thinking.
We also did a repetitive doodle. With every project we worked on, we only worked for so many minutes, so we couldn't really finish them at the time. Here's what I started on...
I'm hoping to finish the flowers above once I try and get back to normal again. Fun, fun, fun!
