Why it's named Blue Lake

Mr. Cottage and I took another ride around our chain of lakes.  One of the lakes is called Blue Lake.  If you were to Google Blue Lake, I'm sure you would come up with many of them and all in different locations around the country.  I don't know about the other Blue Lakes, but ours is really blue in color...

If the sun is shining just so, Blue Lake has the most beautiful color of blue throughout it.  All of the photos I'm showing of it is showing it as it really is...

Unfortunately, for us to get to Blue Lake from our lake we have to go through several channels and the one that leads directly into Blue Lake is extremely narrow and shallow.  There's only room for one boat to go through at a time and there's a bend in this channel, so it's hard to see if one is heading your way.  Because of this, we don't go in as often as I would like, and we never try going into it on a holiday or a weekend.  This is the view of the channel with us in the middle of it...

Now we've gotten through the channel and we're into another lake...

As we head back home through the last channel, look what we found...
