My little dog - a heartbeat at my feet.
~Edith Wharton
Molly is always at our feet or in our lap, whenever she isn't taking one of her many naps. When Mr. Cottage got sick, I came home from the cottage to take him to the doctor's and we've been home ever since. Last Thursday, son #2 dropped Hoover off at our house for grand dog sitting again. I think I might have mentioned that our son does videography for weddings and corporations, so we end up taking care of Hoover a lot because of the length of time he's gone from home. His wife assists him, so Hoover ends up at grandma and grandpa's house...
You can see how Hoover really settles in and makes herself right at home in her grandma and grandpa's house...
So when Hoover's around, Molly spends lots of time either under the couch or up in our bedroom. Hoover likes Molly, but Molly isn't really fond of Hoover. We've taught Hoover not to go up our stairs because we wanted Molly to have her little sanctuary away from Hoover. Then, of course, Mr. Cottage and I were both gone many hours on Friday and Saturday. I really felt so bad for both dogs because they love being around people. My sister-in-law came over several times to let them out and give them attention, but it's not the same for them as it is when Mr. Cottage and I are around.
Any pet lover knows what I'm talking about. And you have to remember that we are now empty nesters and we really dole on Molly...
Hoover went back home yesterday and with Mr. Cottage back home again, hopefully Molly will feel things are back to normal. At least until we get Hoover again!
