Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and spending the day with Michelle Reynolds, who is in our Fly-Tribe, but who is also from Australia. She's been very brave to fly half way around the world, by herself; landing first in New York City, going to Boston, going to Squam Art Retreat, Niagara Falls, Toronto and finally to Michigan...
While in Michigan she's been staying with her friend, Lin Bailey. Both Lin and Michelle drove to Grand Rapids the other day to see Artprize. Yesterday, I met the two of them in the lobby of the hotel where they had been staying and exchanged gifts. Look what she gave me...
This is her own artwork that's in the pendant which she made. This is something that I'm hoping to start doing with my own artwork.
We spent hours walking the streets of Grand Rapids looking at some beautiful art. Here is Lin and Michelle...
And here I am with Michelle...
We finally decide to drive to Grand Haven, MI which is right on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The day was gorgeous and we decided to walk out onto the pier. I think Michelle was in her glory to be here...
This is Lin as we're walking out to the end of the pier...
I love this photo of Michelle, with the light of the water behind her...
The end of the pier with some waves crashing over ...
A view of the pier as we started walking back to shore...
I have so much more to share with you, but I think I'll do the rest tomorrow.

Too much fun - I SO wish I could have been there! Thank you for sharing your fun photos - not quite the same, but better than nothing. I am so happy for you and Michelle that you had this opportunity and took it! xo
