Remnants of Summer

"In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil. And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November."                                                                               ~Rose G. Kingsley

Can you believe that autumn officially arrives next week!  Where did summer go to?  Mr. Cottage and I decided that we'll be moving back home this coming week and coming back to the cottage only for Sunday afternoons through Wednesday.  And even that may change a few times because of other commitments we have back in town.  I've been busy painting my Funky Flowers for Brave Girl Art School and plan on showing these to you when I finish it.

But in the meantime, I went around the cottage and took some photos of our last remaining flowers before frost sets in.  Enjoy them...

Beautiful, aren't they!
