I Love Our Loony Lake

Just feel the magic in the air and the power in the breeze.  Feel the energy of the plants, the bushes and the trees.  Let yourself be surrounded by nature at its best.  Calm yourself, focus and let magic be the rest.

So I have one last posting of our pontoon ride from this past Saturday.  I've heard and seen loons from a distance, but never up close.

And if you don't know much about loons, they'll duck under the surface of the water and reappear many yards away.  So I would get ready to take a photo and then it would be gone and reappear so far away that I couldn't take that one special photo...

FYI, these were ducks just resting on the shore.  The loon is different in color and it's beak is almost spear like...

Eventually we caught up with our little rascal so I was able to get a few good shots, plus he was flapping his wings and ducking under the surface of the water looking for his/her dinner...

In case you missed it, in Tuesday's posting we saw lots of geese.  So after all the water fowl we saw, we continued on our ride into all the lakes through the various channels...

As you can see, there are lily pads everywhere you look...

And then on the way back to their cottage, look at the fabulous sunset...

Everything had an orange cast from the setting sun...

Isn't nature beautiful and so peaceful!
