Have you ever noticed how parents can go from the most wonderful parents in the world to totally embarrassing in three minutes.
~Rick Riordan
Poor little Miss Molly dreads going in for her Fluff and Puff, and we don't blame her. Unfortunately as a Maltese/Shih-Tzu, her hair is very coarse and not easy to comb or brush without the attitude she gets from us doing this. So by the time we get her to the groomer's, usually she has matting here and there.
Have you ever noticed your own hair? One day it's just fine and the next day it's all over grown and long overdue for a haircut. If I go just ONE week longer than normal, I look like a shaggy lioness. Unfortunately, this happens not only to the best of us, but for our Miss Molly...
I could feel her matting and I knew she was going to get cut more than we like, but then I got THE CALL...from her groomer! I knew Miss Molly was doomed. You can actually see her pink skin on her back, but look at her fluffy tail. It's gone, gone, gone. So sad looking...
This is what her tail should look like, not a stem!
I will have to admit her ears this time are pretty good, versus how they sometime look when we get her back. The good is above and the ugly is below...
Then there was the time Mr. Cottage said he wanted a beard on her, which we normally get, but not like this! I told Mr. Cottage she's not a Scottish Terrier or a Schnauzer...
So not only are Miss Molly's fluff and puff traumatic for her, but for her parents, too. We really want her to look cute and adorable just as she is suppose to be...
So when the groomer called me the other day, I asked her how long should we go between cuttings. I now have a note on our calendar a week before she should get a cut to call and make an appointment.
