Your Opinion, Please...Ampersand

Resembling a broken infinity, the ampersand reminds us that nothing truly lasts forever and there is always an AND

Sometime, earlier this summer, I bought an unfinished wood ampersand from Target.  Have you see their great and inexpensive collection of wood letters and symbols?  If not, take a look here.  For letters, they are only $3.99 and for symbols, like my ampersand, they're $4.99.  Here's a photo of what they look like when you purchase them...

Even though they are finished, I still went over it slightly with sandpaper.  I ended up painting the ampersand a light-medium gray and finished it off with a craft varnish for protection.  Then came the decision of where to put it.  Right now I have it on a bookcase shelf in our living room.  There's succulents and a photo of our dear friends on the same shelf...

But then I decided to play around with it.  Here it is on our kitchen counter, next to our refrigerator...

Then I put it where I can see it when I'm at the sink...

Next, I moved it next to the stove, but behind my white tray...

And finally, I tried it in the dining area on our china cabinet...

The thing I love about decorating is that nothing is ever permanent and set in stone.  I know I can move my ampersand around anywhere I want and anytime I want.  But I am a bit curious as to where you like it best.  Feel free to leave a comment and let me know.  I'll let you know what came in first place, based on my Facebook and Twitter postings and this blog.
