Blogtoberfest, day 13 - I May Be An Oldie, But I'm Still A Goodie

Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

I had another posting in mind for today and next thing I knew I was sorting through some photos of myself and trying to figure out where the heck all the time has gone.  First from a toddler...

to preschool...

early grade school...

later grade school...

junior high with my young sister...

High school graduation...

Marriage, Mr Cottage and I, along with my parents...

My mother and I in our apartment after Mr. Cottage and I married...

Submitting a yummy recipe to our newspaper...

My last art show I participated in with my baskets, 1998...

My mother and I on Christmas...

And now at 65 years of age...

Mr. Cottage took me out to breakfast this morning and we'll be going out to dinner tonight with friends.  Hmm, another year has flown by, but who's counting the years!
