Molly, Elmo and Houdini

A dog can express more with his tail in seconds than his owner can express with his tongue in hours.

Molly has a "thing" for the Elmo I just bought for Corbin for Christmas.  I usually write about Molly once a month but I couldn't resist this today.  I went early this morning to buy LOL Elmo and when I came home I showed Mr. Cottage how it worked.  Molly thought it was for her.  I put it on our kitchen island and from that point on, she's been guarding it all day...

She even took her nap right there on the floor instead of on her pillow pet...

Between barking and growling at it, it's been rather hilarious to watch and listen to her...

I'll have to admit that we put it on the floor and played it for her and she loved it...

So funny to watch her...

In addition to her loving LOL Elmo, she did something else today that she's never done.  She literally disappeared on us.  I went to the store and when I came back Mr. Cottage couldn't find Molly.  I asked if he had let her out but now he wasn't so sure.  We looked upstairs, under the couch in the family room, bribed her with treats and no response.  Mr. Cottage did the same thing outdoors in our backyard and nothing.  He finally took a peek in the front and there she was walking several houses away from us.  We have a fenced in yard, but the fence on the street side is a board on board fence and now we're wondering how she could have squeezed through the tiny openings.  Needless to say, we're really going to have to watch her more closely.  She's our little Houdini!

  1. I think Santa needs to bring Molly an Elmo of her very own!

  2. Oh Molly! You really do need an Elmo. Donna over at Brynwood Needleworks blog is mom to Tag. She puts Sesame St on tv just for him and he runs to hear Elmo. Must be something about a small child's voice.....
