“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.”
~Cesare Pavese
Gees, where has the time gone? It seems like we just left Florida to return home to Michigan and now we're packing and getting ready to return to Florida. I hate to say this, but I really don't like to pack and unpack, especially when we're gone for so long a time and so much has to be taken with us. Mr. Cottage hauled all our tubs up to be filled with all the necessities...
And our clothes, I mean we will be there for four months...
I'm just starting on this now and hopefully, it will all be packed away into our cargo trailer in the next couple of days.
I so get the desire to get away from the snow, but my goodness, what a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of work. We don't get enough snow to fly south, but we do vacation in CA for a week in December. I suppose just being able to do our own packing and surviving the trip to the destination is a blessing in itself. Enjoy this stage of the game and try to make it fun, by doing something different this year. Put on your thinking cap and think of interesting ways to unpack and put away things in FL that will make the process easier on the way back. Keep us posted!
