Easy and Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

Other than boxed macaroni and cheese from the aisle in a grocery store, this is about the next easiest recipe you'll find that is also super delicious! 



BAKED MACARONI AND CHEESE

2 teaspoons butter or margarine
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
3 cups cooked elbow macaroni

  • Melt butter over medium heat in 3 quart saucepan.  Whisk in the soup, milk, hot sauce, and half of the cheese, stirring just until the cheese melts.
  • Stir in the macaroni and mix well
  • Pour into a lightly greased 9 inch square baking dish.
  • Top with remaining cheese
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Many macaroni and cheese recipe have you start by making a basic white sauce, but with this recipe, that step is eliminated and is so easy to make...


Add the can of condensed Cheddar cheese soup to your pan that you melted the butter in...


Add the milk and hot sauce and blend...
Add half the cheese and cook until all the cheese has melted...


Cook the macaroni ahead of time, according to the directions on the package...


Add 3 cups of the cooked macaroni to the pot of melted cheese and stir well...


Pour into a lightly greased 9 inch square baking dish and top with the remaining cheese...


Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes...


And then enjoy with wonderful comfort food.  Perfect for a chilly evening!
