”I am always doing things I can't do, that's how I get to do them.”
~Picasso.
I'll bet you're wondering what I've been up to, seeing as I haven't done a blog posting in over a week. Actually, I've been quite busy painting my fox and doing whatever retired people do. I've already shared my fox on Facebook so now I want to introduce him to you. Mr. Cottage helped me name my painting, Ever Watchful...
This is the first real animal and eyes of an animal that I've ever painted. I'm going to show how to paint him to the watercolor sharing class that I go to once a week. As a former teacher, I'm hoping to go into the classroom quite prepared. Actually, I'll be teaching him on February 26, so I have plenty of time yet to get my materials ready.
This is the first time that I will be offering limited prints of any of my paintings, but I think this one deserves it. If you don't know what limited prints means; simply put, I only will print so many and after that, no more will be available.
I'll let you know when I decide this and when they'll become available.
Hi Carol, the fox is wonderful. Love his eyes. I'm currently painting a wolf in my watercolor class, and it's a challenge. I took up watercolors about 2 yrs ago, after being an acrylic decorative arts painter since 83. I found a wonderful teacher and I do love it, although it has a mind of its own. I'd love to see more shots of your studio, pallets. I'm really enjoying all of your paintings! I was raised in Flint and we too had cabins in the woods growing up. I do not miss the winters, however.
