Off To Another Art Show

Outdoor Art Exhibition: If you bring lots of sunscreen and tarps to protect your work when it pours, and figure a way to anchor work framed in glass during wind gusts, and don't mind smiling and answering the same questions again and again, it's quite a lot of fun.

Mr. Cottage and I strolled around another fine art show this morning, the Sarasota Fine Art Show in downtown Sarasota.  The weather has been beautiful all week until today.  There's a cold front moving in and the winds are howling.  I really don't envy any of the exhibiting artists today!  In fact, it's starting to sprinkle right now and that wasn't even in today's forecast.  So I'm happy that we got a chance to view it before the bad weather really started to set in.  Here's a bit of what we saw.  This first one is not a photo, it's an oil painting by Mark H. Brown...

This second one is also an oil painting by artist, Kathleen Green...

Just another beautiful painting that I loved but couldn't afford...

While in Florida, you must have colorful Floridian art...

And we saw a real person, posing as a statue, except for when he played his guitar...

OMG, a sleepy little dog with her own sunglasses...

Her owners woke her up for us to see her and take her photo.  Just too cute...

At least the sun was out and the winds were just starting to get strong when we were here.  Unfortunately, there's no sun now and it's getting colder.

Many of the exhibitors were artists from Ohio and Michigan.  Gee, I don't blame them for being here vs the real cold and snow up north.

  1. So jealous! Looks like a great show, and I will take your rain instead of our near white out conditions today. The art you posted was awesome!
    Thanks for sharing!
