Parades, picnics, grilling, fireworks...ah, could it be the 4th of July already! I can't believe how fast this summer is going, but I'm sure all the commotion of moving has pushed the calendar at warped speed for Mr. Cottage and I.
We have nothing special planned for today other than to go to the free concert in town this evening, which is suppose to be really good. Then we'll come back to the cottage and watch some of the fireworks around the lake. As for grilling, it's not on our agenda until this weekend. I have some fresh zucchini I need to use so I'm going to make lemon-pepper shrimp with the zucchini and a really yummy rice pilaf. I'll share this recipe with you tomorrow.
Even Molly isn't doing anything special today, just her usual watching of the doorway from her favorite spot on the couch...
Hopefully you got rested up and/or enjoyed some family time today.
