Mr. Cottage and I have been looking for a new house and we think we finally found it.  We put an offer in and have gone through the inspection and appraisal and now we're just waiting on all the paperwork and, hopefully, the closing.  I've been rather quiet about this because there was just too much up-in-the air stuff going on and if you've ever bought or sold a house, then you know what I'm talking about.  If all goes well, we should be closing on it before the end of this month.

I don't know where all of you live, but in the Grand Rapids area there is a shortage of houses for sale and an even greater shortage of condos.  We decided to buy a condo which will make it easier to maintain, along with our red painted cottage.  Keeping in mind there aren't many condos on the market, we had a hard time finding what we wanted; considering rules and regulations, particularly about dogs.  Then there were all the different areas, the prices and the conditions of the few that we did look at.  Needless to say, we put an offer in the same night we first saw it...

I'm not going too much information about it right now because officially it isn't even ours yet; but look what we'll be able to see off the deck, plus we have lots of trees and mother nature behind us.  We'll even be able to put up our birdhouses and bird feeders.
