I've Got The Blues

Lately I've been feeling quite blue, as with the color blue and decorating our new house.  You're aware we sold our house and have had an estate sale.  I love to decorate and I'm always looking for new ideas.  And now, I'll be able to semi start over.   I've decided that the main floor of our house is going to be primarily  accented with blue.  I've always loved this color.

The HGTV Dream House of 2004 had a bedroom I just couldn't get out of my mind.  After a bit of research, I discovered the walls were painted Interesting Aqua by Sherwin Williams...

 

 

To this day, I still love the house in St. Mary's, GA and all the rooms in it.  Isn't it beautiful...

I painted the guest room, in our recently sold house, this beautiful color and so many people who have seen it have commented how much they love it...

 

I'll definitely have Interesting Aqua in either our bedroom and/or bathroom.  I'm also considering using a dark blue and possibly yellow for some of the other rooms.  Remember the custom watercolor painting I did of a house about a year ago?  You can see it here.  This was for Ann Drake, from the popular blog On Sutton Place...

Ann uses lots of blue and touches of yellow throughout her beautiful house...

And then there's Marian Parsons, from the very popular blog Miss Mustard Seed.  She has used lots of blue in her house, too...

Doesn't the dark blue with the white look beautiful...

 

 

I'm very partial for using Benjamin Moore paints and Sherwin Williams comes in a close second, so I'll be staying to these two brands as Mr. Cottage and I purchase the paints for our new house.  What about you?  Any favorite colors of paint that you love?
