Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.

I don't know why, but I've been on a fox kick lately; and NO, it doesn't have anything to do with the song and video of "What Did The Fox Say". A year ago, I painted my watercolor of a fox, which I titled, Ever Watchful. Then when I was buying gifts for Christmas, I couldn't pass up this fox toy for Molly...
Needless to say, she loves shaking it around and even throwing him...
She decided to pose for me with Mr. Fox...
A friend of ours mentioned how their dog loves hooves. So this is the first time we treated her to a hoof and she LOVES it...
I know I haven't written any blog postings for a few weeks so I'll fill you in on what's been happening. I've been having good and bad days with my knee. I had my follow up with my Dr. and the torn meniscus has been taken care of, which is a good thing. However, my patellofemoral arthritis has deteriorated. I guess there was a bit of cartilage earlier in the summer and that's why the injections worked for a few months. But now there's no more cartilage left and because of that, injections won't work any more for my knee. Bottom line, next up will be knee replacement! He told me it could be weeks, months or a few years. It will depend on my knee and what I can tolerate and that I'll know when I'll have to have this done.
On my good days, I've been sanding and priming all the oak trim in our bedroom. Since we moved into our condo we've been using the guest room on the lower level as our bedroom, and the master bedroom as a catch all room. Now that much of the updating has been done (although not totally finished), I've decided I want to get this one room painted and buy furniture and mattress for it. Once that's done, if my knee gets really bad again, everything I need (other than my art studio), is on the main floor. I'm just thinking ahead. I still don't have pictures and artwork hung on most of the walls yet, but things are coming together.
By the way, Mr. Cottage had a birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday Mr. Cottage!
