Our Rustic Bathroom At The Cottage

“Cottage is the palace of humble man!”

I posted about this chair a few years back.  You can read about it here...

I actually painted it for our bathroom at the cottage...

I used our valance for the inspiration, but actually our valance is nothing more than two tea towels that are folded over a rod...Shhh!

Along the shower walls, we actually have planked boards...

Mr. Cottage and I found this hamper at a garage sale for only $2-$3!  It was pink, so maybe that's why.  But Mr Cottage spray painted it and I made a removable cloth case, as well as painting the lid...

I came up with the phrase "Catch of the Day" for our hamper lid and then painted my first detailed painting of a bluegill.  Mr. Cottage thought I had glued the fly onto the lid...LOL!

Just some rustic touches...

With a small cottage like we have, our utility room is in our bathroom, ugh!  So I came up with the idea of using old wooded shutters to give the room a better look, without having to look at all the mechanicals...

For whatever reason, another door needs a jug to help hold the door open...

We found this photo at an art show while we were in Florida and I immediately pictured it hanging across from the toilet.  It's called "Birds Eye View"...

I can't believe that my whimsical flower chair has been my most popular pin on Pinterest.  The last time I looked, I had just under 850 people who have repinned this!

Believe it or not, but our cottage tour isn't over yet.  Stop by on Friday to see more!
