Our Lake At The Cottage

My happy place is at the lake

Our lake just happens to be part of 5 lakes chained together by channels.  Mr. Cottage and I love water and boating.  I know there are wonderful cottages throughout the world that are in mountains, woods, and in the country (as in farms and very rural areas).  As long as you have a second getaway, regardless, and you love where it's at, that's all that matters...

I know I've shared photos in the past of our lake, but for those who missed it, here are a few to enjoy; but we have to walk out to the dock (watch the goose poop!)  Mr. Cottage stained our dock this summer.   Doesn't it look great!  So we get in our boat and take off...

Lincoln Lake is one of the largest lakes in our county...

To get to Little Lincoln Lake, we have to go through a winding channel with lots of lily pads...

And nature is everywhere you look...

Once we get through the channel and into Little Lincoln, if we continue to go straight, we'll go into Black Lake...

And off to the left is Friant Lake, which is the smallest of the 5 lakes...

I took this photo below of the deer, a few years ago, while we were on Black Lake...

There's also a cove on Black Lake that a lot of boaters anchor in to swim...

This is a lot of what you see in Friant Lake...

To get to Blue Lake, you have to go through a very narrow and curving channel, so usually we only go on the weekday because it's so congested on weekends...

This is Blue Lake below and what you see is the actual color of the water.  No wonder it's called Blue Lake...

So we head back through the lakes and channels to get back to our dock...

Hope you enjoyed our boat ride.  I have something special I want to share with you on Friday about our cottage.
