"A dog is nothing but a furry person."

It was two weeks ago that we left for Key West to visit our friends, Rog and Penny, who spend their winters down in the tropics. So off we went for the long ride down and made sure that Molly would be comfortable. We even brought her pillow pet...
When we arrived, Molly was greeted by two new friends, Abbey and Mitzi. They're two cute Shi-Tzus. Abbey is the older of the two...
And Mitzi was the younger, playful dog. She wanted to give us a kiss...
While we were staying with them, Rog advised us to walk our dogs in the middle of their street at night so we wouldn't get conked on the head with a falling coconut. WHAT WAS THAT...FALLING COCONUTS?? OH MY!
Here's a view of their street and sidewalks and you can see all the palm trees with the coconuts. Look hard because they're there...
The small lizards are everywhere, but I have to be honest that they didn't bother Molly or any of us. Having raised three boys, they were nothing to be fearful about. But we were advised to watch out for any of the tiny toads that were around the neighborhood because the secretion on their backs was extremely poisonous and one lick or a paw touching it and then a lick would doom any animal. So we were on the lookout for them and fortunately, none were spotted by any of our eyes.
Here's another photo of Abbey, in the background, and Mitzi, in the foreground...
Of course all good things must come to an end and it was time to leave for Sarasota. So the dogs said their goodbyes to one another...
Molly said she would love to go back someday because she loved to lay around on their cool tile floors and to see her friends again.
