A Trip To Wild Africa

I dream of an Africa which is in peace with itself.

I hate to say it, but this will probably be the closest I'll ever get to actually visiting Africa.  Actually this and Walt Disney World is my extent of going on an African Safari.  After walking around Binder Park Zoo, we walked through the International Depot which displayed all the different African Flags.  This is where we took a tram ride to Wild Africa and Zuri National Park...

This had to be one of the highlights of the day.  I've never seen a giraffe up close before and I was totally blown away by their long beautiful eyelashes.  Ah, any girl's dream...

In addition to being able to pet and touch them...

You could actually feed them.  Here's Corbin feeding the giraffe with a piece of romaine lettuce...

All I could think of was, WOW...

The day we were here, there was a one year birthday celebration for one of the giraffes.  They even had cake for the occasion...

This is what the walking paths in Zuri National Park were like...

And this is another path that was like a covered bridge...

Corbin is really enjoying something, geez what could it be...

It's a Black Mangabey...

Before we headed back to the main zoo, we ended up in their little village...

Yup, a tiring day for Corbin and his grandma...

  1. As much as I'd LOVE to go to Africa, I'm afraid I'm too...well, afraid. So I have to settle for zoos, too.

    1. Actually, I think I would love to go on a real African safari, but I know I could never afford one, plus there's so many other places I'd rather see first.
