A Wedding In Texas

"Once in awhile in the middle of ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale"

A year ago this past spring, our daughter-in-law's sister got married in Texas.  Shortly afterwards, Lisa asked me to create a mixed-media canvas from photos of the wedding.  Time marched on, along with lots of other commitments I had, then wintering in Florida and  returning home to sell the house and find another.  This past week I finally finished it and just have to share it with everyone.  These were some of the photos I received...

Lisa wanted her sister and husband to be by the fence, but with him standing.  Don't you just love her cowboy boots under her wedding gown...

The groom wore a tux for the day of the wedding, but Lisa told me he was all cowboy and to have him in cowboy hat and blue jeans...

I knew I had to incorporate the old mission somewhere in the painting.  Here's my miniature bell I showed you the other day...

The bride didn't wear a necklace, so I put a couple strands of pearls on the canvas...

And a cowboy hat for the groom...

Don't you love her gown and flowers!  Notice the grooms belt buckle...

I finished all four sides on the canvas...

This was made on a 12 x 16 inch canvas.

If anyone is interested in one just like this, I am able to make prints of this, without the J and B on the top and could add other initials if you want.  I also can make another original just for YOU.  Just let me know if you're interested in something like this.  It would make a beautiful heirloom gift for any newlyweds.
