It's Nothing To Crow About

When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween.

I've been meaning to share some of my Halloween décor with you, but with my knee replacement surgery, I'm still having some bad days along with the good.  A few weeks back, I had Mr. Cottage drive me to Michael's so we could add some crows to our house for Halloween.  After I brought the crows home, the next thing I had to decide was were to put them.  After looking around, I decided to put them where they would really show up good; in front of our window and perched on top of my mercury glass candlesticks...

They look great from a distance, especially with the golden leaves behind them...

Then there's my three pumpkin heads I bought a number of years ago.  They're hanging in our entryway to greet our guests...

I love owls and even though we had recently moved and got rid of lots of our items at our estate sale, when I saw this little guy last year and he was on a final markdown, I knew he was coming home with me.  Aren't the spiders creepy looking?

I bought this white faux pumpkin with the intention of painting this "B" on it.  I first saw this on Pinterest and knew I wanted to do this.  You can see more of it here...

I thought I would also share with you that I'm able to drive, finally!  So my first time out this week found me in Anthropologie and JB and Me, a local store in Holland, MI and Grand Rapids, MI.  I had a 15% off card from Anthropologie for my birthday (which was this month) and I wasn't going to let it go to waste.  Unfortunately, I didn't feel like shopping in either store.  I'm finding out that I can only do so much and then I have to rest.  I did get the extra four bowls we needed with my discount...

Then back home again to rest.
