Things Are Looking Up At Our Cottage...Cottage Tour

Mr. Cottage loves to fish.  Just take a look around our cottage...

Fishing poles hanging horizontally on the walls...

Vertically on the walls...

And even on the ceiling...

I mentioned we have a loft, which can be used for sleeping and/or storage.  The doors are there for privacy, as well as keeping anyone from falling.  They're actually Dutch doors, so the bottom can be closed, with the top remaining open...

 

Anyways, Mr. Cottage has fishing items even hanging by the doors...

If you're resting on the day bed, this is the view you'll see when looking up...



Now zoom in closer, and you'll see Tatanka (Buffalo)...

Actually, when we first saw this cottage for sale, there was a very fake looking bear head hanging above the fireplace.  Mr. Cottage went to remove it and we discovered a large hole, which is where the woodburner stove use to run through, prior to the fireplace being built... 

Long story short, we knew an award-winning taxidermist who lived down the road from a buffalo farm.  The farm raised buffalo to sell as meat.  Mr. Cottage asked about the head, and our friend said they sell them to people like him...

I know this isn't for everyone, but it makes Mr. Cottage happy.  And we all know, a happy wife makes for a happy life...and the same is true with a happy husband.  So there you are...
